My Story

"My mission is to inspire and empower you to take your own health journey, leading to optimum health and energy - the foundation for everything in life."

I am a mum of two young boys, avid cook, lover of books, learner of gardens, anxiety warrior and qualified clinical nutritional practitioner with a special interest in gut and mental health.  I have an Advanced Diploma of Nutritional Medicine and am registered with the Complementary Medicine Association

My own health journey began at the age of 11 when I experienced my first panic attack which was the onset of Generalised Anxiety and Panic Disorder. Through that journey I discovered a lot about myself and those around me.  There was the battle through mental health - being an introverted child suffering from panic disorder lead to agorophobia, social anxiety, depression and poor self-esteem.  This followed me all through my schooling years into adulthood.  I was also met with digestive upset including IBS and SIBO which controlled certain aspects of my life.  As the years went on I discovered how certain food and lifestyle choices impacted on my health, and so began my journey.

After becoming a mother, I realised leading a healthy life was much more than just nourishing my body.  I was unable to keep up with the demands I had set myself, being a people pleaser at heart.  My body wasn't happy and over time my thyroid health declined, my hormones were imbalanced, poor gut health returned and I ended up with severe adrenal dysfunction and acute liver failure.  I had also unknowingly developed an obsession with eating healthy resulting in a condition called orthorexia.  This unhealthy relationship with food was beginning to be passed onto my children.

It was at this point I realised the only way for me to truly heal was to slow down and start living life authentically.  I began to dig deep into why I placed so much of my energy into pleasing others.  I also discovered I had "dirty" genes - my body was struggling to breakdown and absorb nutrients required for many reactions in my body.

That 20+ years of personal experience led me to where I stand today. I call myself a true anxiety warrior and am now helping others, sharing and expanding my knowledge daily.

I believe it isn’t just about what we eat, it is so much more. It’s the biochemical reactions within the body, how we absorb, eliminate, move, think and feel.

There is so much passion in what I do with a true desire to help you find energy, confidence and feel alive again.
